01 / INSIDE THE PRINT
The wave moves.
The mountain stays.

Created around 1830–32, Under the Wave off Kanagawa belongs to Hokusai’s series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. It is a woodblock print: ink and color on paper.
Look beyond the towering crest. Low boats follow the water, while Mount Fuji appears small and still in the distance. The contrast gives this single image its extraordinary tension: a fleeting surge around an enduring mountain.
Follow the curves of the foam, then find the quiet triangular peak. That movement between energy and stillness is where our design journey begins.
