Before ordering an American Mahjong tile set, compare all three tile measurements, the rack you plan to use and the space available in your storage tray. A familiar design or back color does not establish that two options have the same fit.
Compare width, depth and height
Read dimensions in a named order. Width describes the face from side to side, height describes it from top to bottom, and depth describes the thickness. For an existing tile you enjoy using, measure all three and compare like with like.
Sweet Afternoon’s Gold-tone acrylic tiles are approximately 0.87 W × 0.59 D × 1.26 H inches (22 W × 15 D × 32 H mm). The Pink option’s dimensions are not yet confirmed; contact Mahla before ordering if its size or accessory fit matters to you. Do not assume a back-color change means identical dimensions.
Check the rack you already own
Measure the usable ledge where the tile rests, rather than just the rack’s outer dimensions. Check whether a tile of the proposed depth sits securely and whether its face remains visible. Compare the width of a row of tiles with the space on the rack.
Published tile dimensions alone do not prove compatibility with a particular rack or pusher. Share its model and usable measurements with the seller and ask whether that combination has actually been checked.
Check storage separately
A tile fitting a rack does not establish that the entire set fits a storage tray. Measure the usable compartments, account for the arrangement of the tiles and check the available depth beneath the lid. Tile dimensions and box dimensions answer different questions.
Inspect readability at the scale you will use
Review close-ups as well as the set overview. Look for clear numerals and distinct suits, Winds, Dragons, Flowers and Jokers. If possible, compare a sample at ordinary rack distance; an enlarged screen image does not demonstrate physical readability or hand feel.
Confirm your selected option before checkout
Review the option name, confirmed measurements and current price on the product page, then check that the cart shows the same option. Resolve any essential rack or storage question before placing your order.
